BMCU 370c Multicolor System – 2-Color / 4-Color AMS Alternative for Bambulab A1 & A1 Mini

The BMCU multicolor system is an open-source, low-cost alternative to the Bambu Lab AMS, designed for users who want multicolor printing or automatic filament refill without the high cost of a closed system. It is available in two configurations: 2-Color version – ideal for dual-color prints or auto-refill when a filament spool runs out 4-Color version – the maximum supported configuration for multicolor printing The system does not support expansion beyond 4 channels, allowing users to choose the configuration that best fits their needs and budget. BMCU uses the BMCU370C Hall buffer, enabling bidirectional filament buffering and smoother filament feeding, which helps reduce stress and wear on the filament hub. It also supports long retraction after filament cutting, improving reliability during color changes.
